I wouldn’t necessarily call it a problem, but if you do have a way of obtaining the exact time of your birth, it would be greatly beneficial. The time has an effect on both your rising sign and in some cases the placement of planetary bodies within certain houses. If you only have the approximate time, we can try a few options and you may notice that one resonates more with you than another.

We all have different influences in our charts and while some astrological literature can be very doom and gloom, this perspective is certainly changing in modern times. Instead of looking at positive and negative influences, I invite you to look at them more as easy and challenging ones. Some constellations may be handing you things on a golden plate, while others will make you work for them – but the sense of achievement will be all the greater for it! We all have a balance of these aspects in our chart. Another point to consider is that the influences are there, whether you’re aware of them or not – but with awareness, you are much better equipped to handle challenges without entirely loosing yourself in self-doubt.

In my experience, the placement of planetary objects within a certain house is one of, if not the most defining feature of a person’s chart. I use the whole sign house system as a foundation, but find it useful to compare placements between this and the equal system as well – especially when planets fall on the cusp between two houses in one system or another. This is actually a lot more common than you might think! There can be a number of reasons for this. Firstly, there can be some uncertainty over one’s date of birth, especially if you have been adopted or raised by anyone but your birth parents. If you’re certain on your date of birth, but the characterisation of that sign still does not fit, we should take a closer look at the other planets and their influence on your sun. The ascendant or rising sign can also give us critical information, as it defines how you present yourself to the outer world. We are complex human beings and there is a complex interplay between different energies in everyone’s chart – the sun only being one of them!

Your birth information and what we discuss during our sessions is treated confidentially and never shared with others without your permission. In some cases, a confidentiality agreement can be drafted before the session.
