You may be completely new to astrology, already familiar with your chart, or somewhere in between. These answers cover the questions that most often come up before a reading.
If you cannot find what you are looking for, you are very welcome to email me at chrissy@apeaceofchrissy.com. While I cannot provide personalised astrological guidance by email, I am happy to help you choose the session that best fits your question or current chapter.
Before our session, I will use the birth details you provide to prepare your chart and consider the questions or topics you would like to explore.
During our time together, we will talk through the themes that are most relevant to you. I will explain the astrological symbolism clearly, leave space for your questions, and connect the insights to your real life wherever possible.
You are welcome to arrive with a particular question, such as a relationship, career, relocation, or current life transition - or simply with a desire to understand yourself more deeply.
A natal astrology reading is a wonderful starting point if you want to understand your core patterns, strengths, needs, and life themes more deeply.
Choose an astrocartography reading if your question is centred on relocation, travel, living abroad, or the ways different places may affect your experience.
A Transits & Progressions reading is best when you want context around a current season, significant decision, or period of change.
Aligned Living is for people who would like deeper, ongoing support to turn insight into meaningful action across three personalised sessions.
If you are still unsure, email me with a brief outline of what you would like support with, and I will happily suggest the most suitable option.
Yes, absolutely. You are welcome to bring a particular question or area of life you would like to explore. Clients often ask about relationships, career, purpose, confidence, creativity, a move, a significant decision, or a transition they are navigating.
You do not need to phrase the question perfectly. A few honest sentences about what is on your mind are more than enough.
Sessions are usually held online via FaceTime or Google Meet. If you are local and would prefer to explore an in-person session, please contact me before booking to discuss availability.
To prepare your chart, I need your date of birth, place of birth, and birth time if known. The more accurate your birth time, the more precisely I can explore your rising sign, houses, and certain timing techniques.
You will also have the opportunity to share any questions or themes you would like us to focus on.
Yes. After your session, I will send you a summary of the key themes and reflections we discussed.
Absolutely. You do not need to know your Sun sign, understand your birth chart, or believe every word of astrology before we meet.
A healthy dose of curiosity (or even scepticism) is very welcome. I explain everything clearly, without jargon, and tailor the session to your existing level of knowledge. My role is not to tell you who you are or what your future must look like. It is to use your chart as a thoughtful starting point for exploring the patterns, questions, strengths, and possibilities that feel most relevant to you.
When booking, feel free to let me know whether you are completely new to astrology or already familiar with it, so I can shape the session accordingly.
Not necessarily. An exact birth time is helpful because it affects your rising sign, house placements, and some timing techniques. However, an approximate birth time can still allow us to explore many meaningful parts of your chart.
If you know a rough window - morning, afternoon, evening, or within a few hours - please include that when you book. We can look at the possibilities together and discuss what can be interpreted confidently.
If you do not know your birth time at all, please email me before booking. I can let you know which types of readings may still be suitable and whether a different approach would be more useful for you.
Your chart is not a verdict on your life, and I do not use astrology to predict tragedy, frighten clients, or make anyone feel powerless.
Every chart contains a mix of strengths, needs, tensions, opportunities, and developmental themes. Some patterns may describe areas that require more awareness, patience, or intention, but they do not mean that you are “doomed” or destined to struggle.
Our session is a compassionate, judgement-free space. If a more challenging theme emerges, we explore it gently and in context: what it may feel like, how it may already show up in your life, and what supportive choices, boundaries, or perspectives could help you work with it.
The purpose is not to find problems. It is to help you understand yourself more clearly and meet your life with greater self-trust.
I primarily use the Equal House system as the foundation of my practice. Where it is useful (especially if a planet sits close to a house cusp) I may also compare the chart using Placidus to add context and create a fuller picture.
Different house systems can emphasise different details, but the overall chart story is not erased by using one system rather than another. My priority is always to use the approach that offers the clearest, most useful interpretation for you.
If you have a preferred house system or are already familiar with another method, you are very welcome to mention it when you book.
This is extremely common. Your Sun sign is only one part of a much bigger picture.
A birth chart also includes your Moon, rising sign, Mercury, Venus, Mars, house placements, aspects between planets, and many other layers. These factors shape how you think, feel, communicate, connect with others, take action, and experience the world.
So, if you have read a generic description of your Sun sign and thought, “That is not me at all,” you are not doing astrology wrong. You are simply more complex than a single sign - and this is exactly where a personalised chart reading can help you understand the fuller story.
No. I do not see astrology as a way to guarantee outcomes or replace your own judgement. Astrology can describe themes, cycles, tendencies, and periods of emphasis, but you remain the person making choices and shaping your life.
My approach is designed to offer perspective and support - not certainty where certainty is not possible.
Yes. Your birth details, contact information, and anything you share during a session are treated as private and confidential.
I do not share your information or the details of your reading with anyone else without your explicit permission. I only use the information you provide to prepare for and deliver your session, and to manage necessary booking communication.
If you have a particular confidentiality concern, please contact me before booking. We can discuss it and, where appropriate, arrange an additional confidentiality agreement.
